Philippines passport and visa photo requirements
The Philippines uses a 35×45 mm photo on a plain white background. Passport photos are usually captured at the DFA site during the appointment, but visa and other applications still need a photo you provide.

What the photo must show
- Photo age. Taken within the last 6 months.
- Expression. Neutral expression, mouth closed, no smiling.
- Glasses. Not allowed — remove them, including clear-lens frames.
- Ears. Both ears must be visible; hair tucked back.
- Headwear. Only for religious reasons, and never covering the face.
- Clothing. Plain clothing with sleeves; avoid uniforms and sleeveless tops.

Common reasons photos get rejected
- A photo with a shadow behind the head or a grey background.
- Hair covering the ears or eyebrows.
- A photo with eyeglasses of any type.
- A photo that has been edited or filtered.
